Natalie in Europe!

This is one of my first days in Brussels! You can tell because I'm wearing a coat, and my cheeks and nose are red from the cold :) This is at a Park kind of close to where I lived, where lots of people from church would play soccer on Saturday mornings!

This is me at the "atom thingy" as I called it for the first month or so in Brussels. It's actual name is the Atomium and it is HUGE! Not only that, but when the sun goes down, it sparkles! How cool is that?!

Anyway I would love to add more pics of my wanderings, but I'm sitting in a wooden chair, and my butt HURTS! So I'm outta heeya!

April Sunshine brings May Rain!

This seems so backwards! The weather was beautiful on Friday April 30, 2010. Then when midnight struck, the weather became cold, windy, cloudy, and rainy. The beautiful flowers on all the trees are falling off, and what once used to be a beatiful purple flower blossem, is now a brown smashed mess on the dirty city sidewalks. I must confess, the view from where I sit is rather grey. (sorry, I couldn't resist the Pride and Prejudice quote. But it is true, I am sitting at my desk, looking out the window at the grey city sky, that seems to be putting a grey tint on everything else.)

However, despite the grey tint that seems to be enveloping my life, I am loving life, and look foward to the bright future!

I am going to start eating healthier, and excercising with my new buddy jnetti! We have talked about it, and decided that your soul consists of your spirit, AND your body. Therefore, to increase in spirituality and come closer to God, we must prepare our physical bodies as well.

Hopefully I will give you more updates, and my next post will include pictures of my wanderings and travels! It's been fun! So be excited!!

After spending a good 45 minutes trying to figure out how to change my blog template, I am giving up! I don't know how to use this, which is probably why I never post anything! :) I was going to write something else, but I don't remember what it is... Oh well! Peace

The Day of Celebrating You!

As I sit in this recliner, listening to the clock tick, and my friends breathing deep, I wonder to myself, about celebrating birthdays. I started off the day great by playing a really fun game called Quelf till about 1 or 1:30 this morning. However, after being warned by a friend that the roads will not be drivable for some time, I suddenly wish I had gone home last night. Why? You ask? I'll tell you why. It is becuase celebrating a day just for you, only happens once a year. This day is when you get spoiled by breakfast in bed, and lounge around doing those things that you want to do. And as much as I love playing with my friends, I can hear the clock ticking away the day. My day. I would like nothing more right now than to be at home, smelling the french toast as it cooks on the griddle. Instead I'm sitting in a strange house, watching the snow fall through the broken window blinds in the dark. Ha ha on a lighter note, it's my Birthday! And I probablay shouldn't mention the fact that I am old because this is supposed to be a lighter note :) Oh well I'll just stop there and play on facebook while I wait for everyone to wake up.

School Is Over!

It is so nice not having to go to school! All 18 credits are now in the past (kind of...) and now I am relaxing at home watching movies and sippin hot cocoa... Okay not really! I'm scrubbing rocks and sanding cabinets and cleaning guest bedrooms! How do I escape this you ask?! I go back to Logan to "work" :) Why should I scrub rocks and sand cabinets when I can get paid to sit at a computer? ha ha just kidding I am happy to help! It's going to be so awesome when it is all done! But I really am going to Logan to work. Unfortunately money is always a necessity if you want to go to school.
